Logging on to a yps chromebook
Yukon Public Schools utilizes Clever to authenticate students with our Chromebooks and launch student centralized portals to access our learning management systems (Seesaw for PK-1st and Schoology for 2nd-12th) along with district and school supported applications. Students will access their teacher's live instruction sessions via Zoom from links available in Seesaw and Schoology.
What is Clever?
Clever is an easy way for you to access all your learning applications. With Clever, you only have to remember one username and password, or use a Clever Badge, to log into all your applications.
What is single sign-on (SSO)?
Single sign-on (SSO) is what Clever uses to log you into all your learning applications. You only have to sign in once (a single sign-on) to the Clever Portal, then you can click on your learning applications without signing in again!

The Clever Portal is where you can access all your learning applications.
PK-6th Grade: Logging on to your Chromebook w/ a Clever Badge
Students will receive their Clever Badge from their teacher or school's library media specialist during deployment.
Students open their Chromebooks, select Next, and then scan their Clever Badge.
The students are automatically logged in to their Chromebooks. In addition, the students’ Clever portals are automatically opened for them (students do not need to log in again).
Students can click on Seesaw (PK-1st Grade) or Schoology (2nd-12th Grade) to access their teachers online classrooms, including links to connect to their teachers live instruction sessions via Zoom.
The Clever Portal is also where additional applications can be accessed and launched as directed by their classroom teacher.
7th-12th Grade: Logging on to your Chromebook via Clever w/ Google Apps Account
Students open Chromebooks, and Choose Sign in with Different Account.
Log in with their Google email address and password.
Student's Google Account/Email Addresses are FirstName.MiddleInitial.LastName@s.yukonps.com (not case sensitive) and limited to 18 characters, including periods.
Default Password: is first four characters of the First Name followed by the Student Number (case sensitive)
Example: Student's name is John L. Smith with Student Number 12345
password = John12345
If your first name is shorter than 4 characters leading zeros will need to be added to the student number.
Example: Student's Name is Joe Smith with Student Number 54321
password = Joe054321
Example: John L. Smith with Student Number 12345 would have a username of firstname.lastname@example.org with a default password of John12345.
Passwords can be reset online by completing enrollment at reset.yukonps.com. Once enrollment and security questions have been completed you can then choose the Change Password option to reset your password. Please note that the username you will be asked for on our Reset website is the alias portion of your email, so FirstName.MiddleInitial.LastName only (remove the @s.yukonps.com from the email address).
After login, the district’s Clever portal is automatically opened for them.
